It was well written with some great figurative language that I could appreciate and discuss with my 9 year old. Fireborn author Aisling Fowler reads the special pledge Twelve must take to join the Hunting Lodge in this special video.

A hot headed, fierce yet impulsive warrior, Twelve (who gave up her name to train as a hunter after her family were murdered) was a great main character to follow. Fireborn: Twelve and the Frozen Forest from Aisling Fowler is the bold, enchanting introduction to a stirring fantasy series. I felt mainly that I was on the outside looking in rather than being immersed in it, but having said that, I'm excited to see where the story goes in the future and what the rest of the world has to offer.
