About this deal

The intricate altar underwent major restoration work in Poland and was put back in its place at the Basilica 10 years later. Alongside concerts, movie screenings, food and fashion shows, locals come to relax on deckchairs and enjoy the sunset, with Wawel Castle across the river. Theft and pickpocketing are rare but they can still occur so keep your valuables out of sight in busy tourist areas and while on crowded public transportation. The barbican is one of the few remaining relics of the complex network of fortifications and defensive barriers that once enciricled the royal city of Kraków. You’ll also be close to Kazimierz’s kosher and Jewish restaurants, one of which, Hamsa, offers an enormous Middle Eastern buffet on weekend mornings.

I first discovered Ciuciu when I visited the Christmas Market in Krakow in 2013, and now that I live here, I stop in at least once a month for a little bag of delicious candies. It’s a great way to get the lay of the land and learn about the culture, people, and history of the destination. With many things in Krakow there is both a legend and a truth associated with a tradition and the Krakow trumpeter is no exception! Every one of them I have read has been current, informative, and helpful for a tourist new to an area.

Winter in Krakow can be quite cold, with temperatures dropping to 0°C (32°F) during the day and down to -5°C (23°F) overnight.

A few minutes from Kraków’s tourist-thronged main square (Rynek Główny), Tytano is an old tobacco factory whose production halls and offices have been turned into bars, restaurants and clubs. Zakrzowek: Former Limestone Quarry Turned Lake This is my absolute favorite place to swim in the summer, but you must understand that as of 2023, this is a more dynamic situation.
